When Dead of Night came to me, they had fresh funding, a blank canvas — and the most evocative name I'd ever worked with. My job was to build a brand worthy of it.
I developed several concept directions, and the one that resonated most centered on a black bird — a symbol of flight, freedom, and just the right amount of mystery. From that foundation, I built out the full brand world: identity guidelines, packaging, digital assets, storytelling, and a deck to carry them confidently into their next chapter.
We submitted the work to the ADDYs — and it took home gold.
