Overview:
As a designer I partnered with The San Diego Air & Space Museum to reimagine how visitors discover, navigate, and connect with the museum. I led the design of a holistic experience spanning digital discovery, in-person exploration, and brand expression, with the goal of increasing ticket sales, memberships, and long-term engagement.
My Role:
The museum lacked a cohesive system that clearly communicated its offerings to new visitors, guided guests through the space, and reinforced value for families and repeat audiences. Digital touchpoints, physical navigation, and branded materials operated independently, limiting clarity, engagement, and conversion opportunities.

The Story Begins. The Challenge:
How might we create a connected experience that helps visitors understand what’s inside the museum, navigate it with ease, and feel inspired to return—while maintaining a strong, consistent brand across digital, physical, and event experiences? Can we make an experience that makes someone ghasp, "Wow."

Designing The Journey:
Collaboration & Creative Leadership:
I began by mapping the full visitor journey—from online discovery and ticket purchase to arrival, exploration, and post-visit engagement. Using design-thinking methods, I identified opportunities where clarity, play, and storytelling could drive engagement and conversion. I designed digital discovery experiences that highlighted exhibits, kid-focused activities, special events, and membership value, while simplifying ticketing pathways. Additionally I updated the museum’s brand system to support these experiences—refreshing wayfinding and signage for better on-site navigation, elevating annual reports, and designing immersive visual systems for major events including the Apollo Anniversary celebration and Hall of Fame Galas.

Key Experiences Delivered:
Design Lead (Experience Strategy, UX/UI, Visual Storytelling, Brand Systems) I led experience design across digital platforms and in-museum environments, shaping the overarching design strategy, interaction patterns, and narrative flow. In parallel, I evolved the museum’s visual identity, wayfinding, and event design to ensure the brand experience felt cohesive and intentional at every touchpoint.
